Cardigan is a score pad for card games. Your games stay on your phone. The app sends a small amount of anonymous usage data, and you can turn it off.
Everything you enter (player names, scores, game history) is saved on your phone and nowhere else. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Cardigan sends a few anonymous events so we can see how the app is used: tapping New game, adding players, starting a game, saving a round, finishing a game, and sharing a result. With those it sends which card game it was, how many players were in the game, how many rounds it lasted, which house rules were on, whether the game ended by reaching the target score or was ended early, whether it was your first game, the target score you chose, and which round each saved round was, plus the app version, your phone model and iOS version, your screen size, your device's language and time zone, and a random session ID that groups the events from one sitting together.
It does not send player names, anything you type, or your scores.
You can send a finished game's scores to someone yourself, using your phone's own share sheet. Cardigan doesn't send them anywhere.
There's no account and no sign-in, so none of this is linked to you. It's labelled with a random ID that isn't connected to your name, your email, your Apple ID, or any advertising ID. Cardigan doesn't use the advertising identifier and doesn't track you across other apps or websites. IP addresses are thrown away, not stored.
The data is handled by PostHog, on servers in the European Union.
Open the rules page from the home screen, go to Configure, and switch off "Share anonymous usage data". Nothing more is sent.
Cardigan has no ads, and no advertising or marketing trackers. It never has and it never will.
